Details
Douglas is a button tufted armchair bed in fabric with a quilted cover enriched with nickel-plated buttons. It is a refined old style armchair able to turn itself into a comfortable single bed. A resilient polyurethane foam mattress is folded under the seat and it can be opened by simply rotating the backrest. This system prevents the mattress wear, because by using Douglas as a fixed armchair, you never sit on the mattress directly.
Ideal in wide sitting rooms with a classic style, this elegant armchair bed can become the focal point of every environment.

Mattress
The armchair is equipped with a Standard h.14 mattress with Bonnel biconical springs. As an alternative several other mattresses are also available: models with pocket springs, in polyurethane and latex.

Cover
Douglas is available in fabric in a wide range of colours displayed in the samples page; all the covers are completely removable.
Quilting Decoration
Douglas armchair bed cover is available in a smooth version, or with nickel-plated buttons.
Optional Elements
Douglas can be completed with an ottoman matching the cover chosen for the armchair bed.
Accessories
The armchair bed can be customised with several optional accessories, such as:
- slatted base instead of the standard steel mesh base
- mechanism with retractable casters that if needed can be pulled out by using a handle hidden between the seat cushions and the armrests

Mechanism or Structure: high resistance furniture tube, oven coated with epoxy powders. Bed base made of plastic coated electrically welded steel mesh, fixed to the structure with springs. Bed version seat in polypropylene fabric. Mechanism opening and closing in one time.
Mattress: standard, Bonnel springing, a 25 Kg/m³ expanded polyurethane layer on top and bottom; 100% cotton fabric quilted with g 200/m² 100% PL resin fibre and nonwoven fabric; quilted side with aerators; tape edge.
Frame: backrest in high resistance furniture tube, oven coated with epoxy powders
Armrests: fir wood, particle wood and poplar plywood
Headboard: fir wood and particle wood. Non-bearing front panel in particle wood
Padding
Seat: 35 Kg/m³ expanded polyurethane, covered with polyester / cotton cloth combined with 100 gr/m² resin wadding and mm 2,5 quilted interliner.
Backrest: 25 Kg/m³ expanded polyurethane covered with polyester / cotton cloth combined with 100 gr/m² resin wadding and mm 2,5 quilted interliner
Armrests: 40 and 30 Kg/m³ expanded polyurethane, covered with interliner combined with 200 g/m² resin wadding
Structure: 30 Kg/m³ expanded polyurethane, covered with interliner combined with 200 g/m² resin wadding.
Cover: 400 g/m² resin 100% polyester wadding padding; polyester / cotton bottom cloth. Buttons in nickel-plated or burnished iron.
Tips
Dry clean the cover, respecting the specifications of each material.
Sitting on the armrests is not recommended.
